Dear colleagues,

The scientific committee of the Nephrology Days invite you to submit one or more abstracts for The Nephrology Days 2023, which will take place on March 28 and 29 in NH Koningshof in Veldhoven.

Abstracts in the scientific program
As with the previous editions, keynote speakers will discuss a current theme. Some of these sessions are supplemented by short presentations (abstracts) of studies or quality improvement projects that can be submitted by any healthcare professional and/or department and presented by the 1st author. In some other sessions only abstracts are presented. The best abstract per category will be awarded a prize.

Submitting an abstract
You can submit an abstract by registering for the conference. In the 4th step of the registration procedure you can choose whether or not you want to submit an abstract or later. If you want to submit an abstract, choose that option. Please note: we ask you to upload abstracts only in PDF format.

You can submit your abstract in 2 categories:
- Basic science
- Medical

You can submit multiple abstracts. You can also choose to submit an abstract at a later date. Please keep the confirmation of your registration carefully, because you can submit and delete abstracts afterwards with the provided link. The submission deadline closes on January 15, 2023 at 11:59 PM and you cannot add, change or delete anything after the deadline.

Assessment and classification in the program
Between January 16, 2023 and February 7, 2023, the submitted abstracts will be assessed by the reviewers. After the assessment, the program committee will meet on February 14, 2023 to discuss the abstracts and in which sessions of the program they will be placed. The classification will be published on this website by 21 February 2023 at the latest. Important: you can change your already booked package free of charge after the classification has been announced. Excess amounts paid will of course be refunded.

Prizes for the best abstracts and best visual abstracts
The Dutch Nephrology Days awards prizes to the best abstracts in the “Basic Science” and “Medical” category and to the best “Basic Science Visual abstract” and “Medical Visual abstract”
Best abstract in the category Basic Science : € 500.00
Best abstract in the category Medical : € 500.00
Best Visual abstract in the category Basic Science : € 250.00
Best Visual abstract in the category Medical : € 250.00

For receiving the prize the winner must complete the prize form and send it to info@nephrologiedagen.nl

Refund for accepted abstracts
If your abstract has been accepted for presentation, you can request a refund on the registration fee. The maximum refund is € 50.00, regardless of the number of abstracts you submit and regardless of the number of abstracts accepted for presentation.
